3) Easter in the Alice
Easter in the Alice has become a favorite event for the Darwin mountain bike community to attend with over 50 Darwinites travelling to Alice last year to race it. Held over the Easter long weekend and comprising 3 stages this event takes in all the amazing trails that Alice Springs has to offer. The entire Blue Cycles team will be heading there this year for the event, so if you'd like to join us head over to there website and enter. www.easterinthealice.com
4) Otter Run
hOtter Run is a 42 km trail run incorporating 2600 m of incline, 4 river crossing that you have to swim across, 7000 stairs and a cut of time of either 8 hrs for the Race or 11 hours for the Challenge, sounds like total fun doesn't it. Oh yeah and it is in South Africa as well. We added this event as our 4th recommendation as it just screams adventure fun. Head on over to their website to find out more and if you dare even enter it here
Park Run Nightcliff
We are excited at the recent news that the Top End will host a third Parkrun at Nightcliff that will complement the current Darwin and Palmerston Parkruns. The official course has yet to be released but it would be safe to say it'll be up and down the Nightcliff esplanade, the question is will it be two laps like the Darwin Parkrun or just an out and back course. Whatever it is we at Blue Cycles are excited for the new Nightcliff Parkrun and can't wait to hit it up at the end of February when it is launched. For more information see the Parkrun website www.parkrun.com.au
